Terese Cerins, Basketball

Terese was a member of the basketball team for four years, including one where she worked hard to rehabilitate a torn ACL and resume her career. She was a two-year captain and honored as a senior with the Coaches' Award as well as the prestigious Nancy Spada Athletic Leadership Award.

The USJ Experience, in her words:

"As Division III athletes, we don't play to get drafted or sign multi-million dollar deals with Nike. We play because so many years ago when we stepped on that court or that field or that track we knew that this was what we loved to do. I came to University of Saint Joseph to learn, grow, and achieve; my athletic experience along with my academic experience has done that. I will remember that bonds that I have formed with coaches, staff, faculty, and my teammates. I wish that I could have more time here because looking back it has been a great four years. For those who have more time here, remember why you play. Play for yourself, play for your teammates, and play for that little girl who fell in love with the game. Also make sure to cherish every season, ever game, every practice, and every relationship that you build."
