The USJ experience, in her words:
The choice: "Attending the University of Saint Joseph was hands down one of the smartest decisions I have ever made. The supportive community that can be found amongst teachers, students and coaches made being a student athlete less stressful in terms of balancing the demands academically but also athletically as well."
Nursing and sports: "Being a nursing major, I was hesitant to play a sport for fear of falling behind in my studies. Instead, I found myself working that much harder to ensure that I was in good academic standing in order to play. The coaches are all extremely understanding in that the student must come before the athlete while professors also do their best to work around a student’s athletic schedule."
Important Take-Away: "Learning to balance the demands of athletics and academics is a main reason I feel prepared for life after college. As long as you are willing to put the necessary work in, being successful both on and off the field is absolutely possible. Any student considering attending the University of Saint Joseph will not be disappointed with their decision, especially those students who are athletes."
Shout outs: "I want to thank everyone who has contributed to making these past four years absolutely unforgettable. To my parents who attended every game in the rain, sun or freezing cold, my coaches for the constant guidance and support, and most importantly to my teammates, who became my family. This team has made my last year at USJ more than I could have ever imagined. Thank you for the laughs, memories and friendships that will last a lifetime. I will miss you all so much."
