WEST HARTFORD, Conn. — Inaugural University of Saint Joseph (USJ) men's head lacrosse coach Andrew Fink has been selected as a presenter at the 2020 U.S. Lacrosse Convention and Fan Fest (LaxCon). LaxCon is a three-day professional development convention held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia from January 10-12.
It marks the fifth time in six years Fink will be presenting "Man Down Defense", this year with an emphasis on "Defensive Lock Offs", which will demonstrate how Man Down units can effectively create turnovers and break the penalty time while locking off one player. It is also the 10th time that Fink will be presenting at LaxCon in his career. The presentation will be on day one of the event: Friday, January 10, at 4:45 a.m. on the Men's/Boy's Game Track.
The U.S. Lacrosse Convention represents the best professional development conference in lacrosse. With nearly half a million members nationwide, their goal is to provide national leadership, structure, and resources to fuel the sport's growth and enrich player experience.
Fink is the first-ever head men's lacrosse coach in USJ history. Fink, who comes to the Blue Jays after spending 16 years at Mount Ida College (15 as head coach), has been actively recruiting for the Blue Jays' inaugural men's lacrosse team, which takes the field in spring 2020. The Blue Jays are set to host their program-opener on Saturday, February 22 versus Maine Maritime. Fink carries numerous accolades as a player and a coach onto the USJ Lacrosse Field.
