Cross Country Competes In Suffolk Invite Saturday

BOSTON, Mass. — The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) men's and women's cross country teams were back in action Saturday in the Suffolk Invitational, held at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass.

The Blue Jays had quite a field of competition with two men's and two women's races (Gold & Navy) on the day. The USJ men placed sixth of eight schools with 148 points, led by freshman Braeden Laframboise (Southington, Conn.), who finished 11th of 87 runners in the Gold Race. On the women's side, junior captain Morgan Hall (Norfolk, Conn.) took home 56th of 106 runners in the Gold Race. Bowdoin took the overall win for the men, while Simmons College was victorious on the women's side.

[Andrew Fink] "It was a great day for the program. We competed hard and learned a lot about the course as part of an all-important pre-Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) championship race. We will be ready to go on October 30, the most important race of our season."

The Blue Jays will have their goals set high as they return to Franklin Park in Boston for the GNAC Championships on Saturday, October 30 at 2:30 and 3:15 p.m.
