WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - The University of Saint Joseph softball team is hosting a clinic in conjunction with the Hartford Wolf Pack this Sunday, Feb. 26 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the XL Center in downtown Hartford. Youth softball players ages 8-18 will have the opportunity to work directly with the USJ players and coaching staff and hone in their hitting, pitching, catching and defensive skills prior to the upcoming spring season.
Cost of attendance is $35 per player, which includes participation in the clinic as well as a game ticket to that nights AHL hockey game between the Wolf Pack and the Binghamton Senators at 5 p.m. Friends and family of registered clinic players also can attend the game at discounted ticket prices of $15 which can be purchased from USJ softball players following the clinic. A percentage of all the proceeds from both the clinic and ticket sales will directly help the USJ softball team defray the cost of the teams upcoming annual spring training trip to the Fastpitch Dreams Classic in Myrtle Beach, S.C. from Mar. 15-21.
