Lacrosse Loses Tough Florida Game

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The University of Saint Joseph lacrosse team was defeated by SUNY-Fredonia 14-1 Wednesday at the Spring Fling at Lake Lytel Park.

Fredonia State improved to 3-2; St. Joseph is 0-2.

Dayna Gambino (Newington, Conn.) scored a second-half goal for USJ, which trailed 11-0 at halftime. Goalkeeper Anne Pitoniak (West Haven, Conn.) made six saves for St. Joseph. Justine Mojsa (Newington, Conn.) scooped up a team-high four ground balls. 

The Blue Jays take on Clarkson Thursday in West Palm Beach at 4 p.m. in their final Spring Fling game.
