WESTON, Mass. - Nine members of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) women's swimming & diving team were named to the 2018-19 New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association (NEISDA) Spring All-Academic Team, it was announced via a release by the NEISDA. 182 student-athletes from 22 women's teams and 16 men's teams across the region were represented on this year's NEISDA Spring All-Academic Team.
In order for a swimmer or diver to make the NEISDA All-Academic Team, a student-athlete needed to post a spring semester GPA of 3.50 or better. Senior Gabriella Alberino (East Haven, Conn.), freshman Shelby Cios (Rocky Hill, Conn.), senior Richelle DiFronzo (Naugatuck, Conn.), junior Taylor Houghtaling (East Hartford, Conn.), freshman Sarah Maglio (Bristol, Conn.), freshman Alise Martel (Harwinton, Conn.), senior Annmarie Masayda (Watertown, Conn.), freshman Mackenzie Stotler (New Hartford, Conn.), and sophomore Amanda Thiel (Torrington, Conn.) earned the honor for the Blue Jays. Collectively, USJ boasted a team GPA of 3.45 for the spring semester.

The New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association (NEISDA) is a coach run swimming and diving association with 22 Division III schools in New England.
