WESTON, Mass. – Sophomore Brielle Bergeron (Easthampton, Mass.) has been voted as the New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association (NEISDA) Women's Diver of the Week for the 11th week of the 2019-2020 season, announced Thursday by the association.
Bergeron has shown steady improvement on the diving board as the season carries on, achieving a personal best score (204.70) on her six dive list against Westfield State University on Friday, Jan. 17. She won both one-meter diving events (scoring 18 points), and assisted her teammates in other events.
This is the third career NEISDA nod for Bergeron, who earned diver of the week honors in week three of last season, and week seven of this season. She has also been a member of the NEISDA Fall All-Academic Team as both a freshman and sophomore.
NEISDA is a coach-run swimming and diving association with 21 Division III schools in New England. The association has been around for nearly 100 years.
Saint Joseph returns to the pool on Friday, January 24, in a dual meet at Trinity. The action kicks off at 5:00 p.m.
