WESTON, Mass. - Eight members of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) women's swimming & diving team were tabbed to the 2020 New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association (NEISDA) Spring All-Academic Team, it was announced via a release by the NEISDA. 266 student-athletes from 21 women's teams and 15 men's teams across the region were represented on this year's NEISDA Spring All-Academic Team.
In order for a swimmer or diver to make the NEISDA All-Academic Team, the student-athlete needed to post a spring semester GPA of 3.50 or better. Senior Taylor Houghtaling (East Hartford, Conn.), sophomore's Brielle Bergeron (Easthampton, Mass.), Shelby Cios (Rocky Hill, Conn.), Sarah Maglio (Bristol, Conn.), Alise Martel (Harwinton, Conn.), Mackenzie Stotler (New Hartford, Conn.), and freshmen Julia Michaud (Bristol, Conn.) and Alexia Weir (Hebron, Conn.) earned the honor for the Blue Jays. Collectively, USJ boasted a team GPA of 3.43 for the spring semester.

Founded in 1920, The New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association (NEISDA) is a coach-run association made up of 21 Division III member institutions from 6 Conferences in New England.
