Women's Tennis Takes Second Straight Win, 7-2

ARLINGTON, Mass. – The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) women's tennis team claimed a 7-2 triumph on the Spy Pond Tennis Courts Saturday afternoon over Lesley University (LU) to pick up its second win of the 2021 season, and first in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play.

The Blue Jays once again got off to a great start, taking two of three doubles matches. In singles, junior Julia Michaud (Bristol, Conn.) set the tone, taking her first-career singles victory in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0. The same was said for Junior captain Emily Kerr (Portland, Conn.), who wasn't far behind. USJ wrapped it up early in this one, as the team continues to make gains as conference play kicks off.
