Tennis Loses to Johnson & Wales
WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – The University of Saint Joseph tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to Johnson & Wales Saturday in a GNAC match.
Johnson & Wales improved to 5-0 overall; Saint Joseph is 1-5.
Mallory Briggs (Seymour, Conn.) and Delina Andrews (Thomaston, Conn.) came the closest to earning a point for the Blue Jays, dropping an 8-4 pro set at No. 3 doubles. USJ sophomore Emely Chenard (Meriden, Conn.) had a 5-2 first-set lead at No. 3 singles before being forced to retire with an injury.
Saint Joseph hosts Emerson, Mon. Sept 24 at 4 p.m.
