Eagles Tip Jays, 3-1

NASHUA, N.H. – The University of Saint Joseph volleyball team dropped a 3-1 non-conference contest Thursday night at Daniel Webster College.

After Daniel Webster took the first set 25-18, Saint Joseph evened the match with a 25-17 win in the second. But Daniel Webster took the next two sets, 25-18 and 25-16 to close out the match.

Ciara Perez (Manchester, Conn.) led USJ with 14 kills. Elizabeth Tuazon (Mystic, Conn.) led the defensive effort with 17 digs and Megan Williams (Lakeville, Conn.) had 25 assists and 10 digs.

Daniel Webster improved to 5-1 overall; Saint Joseph is 2-9.

Saint Joseph returns to action, Sat. Sept. 22, hosting a GNAC tri-match as part of Tailgate Day. St. Joseph plays Johnson & Wales at 10 a.m. and Norwich at 2 p.m.
