WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – Kim Farris (Atlanta, Ga.) had a match-high 12 kills and five blocks to lead the Wesleyan University women's volleyball team to a three-set sweep of the University of Saint Joseph Tuesday in a non-conference match.
Wesleyan improved to 4-9 overall; St. Joseph is 7-9. The Cardinals won all three sets by identical 25-16 scores.
Ciara Perez (Manchester, Conn.) had a team-high eight kills for St. Joseph and Emily Vigue (Lebanon, Conn.) had six kills and seven digs. Megan Williams (Lakeville, Conn.) had 18 assists.
Wesleyan trailed for only one point during the first two sets and took control in the third when Rachel Savage (Portland, Ore.) served up a 10-pont run that turned a 6-5 Wesleyan deficit into a 15-6 lead.
St. Joseph next plays Sat. Oct. 5 in a GNAC tri-match at Norwich, which also includes Lasell, beginning at 2 p.m.
