Hebb, Rossetti Named October HHC Athletes of the Month
WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) Department of Athletics has announced the Hartford HealthCare Athletes of the Month for October, the second full month of the 2025-26 season. These student-athletes excelled during a highly competitive slate of contests, standing out with their individual performances. The award is presented to one male and one female student-athlete across all sports at the conclusion of each calendar month on behalf of USJ Athletics and Hartford HealthCare.
Aiden Hebb (Men's Swimming & Diving) – A sophomore from Waterbury, Conn., Hebb opened the 2025-26 season in impressive fashion, placing second overall at the annual Blue Jay Pentathlon (Oct. 17) with a combined time of 2:44.05. Through the first three dual meets of the year, Hebb has won every race he has competed in, guiding the Blue Jays to a perfect 3-0 record. His standout stretch earned him GNAC Swimmer of the Week honors on Oct. 20, marking the fifth time the sophomore has received a conference weekly award. This marks Hebb's first career Hartford HealthCare Athlete of the Month honor.
Maddie Rossetti (Women's Tennis) – A sophomore from Hamden, Conn., Rossetti enjoyed an outstanding October. Primarily playing at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles, she compiled a 13-7 overall record, including an 8-2 mark in singles play and a 5-5 record in doubles. The sophomore started the month with an impressive performance at the New England Women's Invitational Tennis Tournament, going 4-1 overall in singles matches. Rossetti carried her momentum into the remainder of Conference of New England (CNE) play, winning four straight singles matches. She was also strong in doubles action alongside teammate Lili Garcia, as the duo won their final four matches to close out the month. This is the second Hartford HealthCare Athlete of the Month honor of her career.
