Bio

Jeff Sharnick enters his second season as a member of the USJ coaching staff after two seasons as the lead assistant at Dean College. In his first season at the University of Saint Joseph in 2024 as an assistant coach, the Blue Jays finished with a 17 – 22-1 record. Clinching the first playoff appearance and playoff win in program history. The Blue Jays also had five players earn All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference selections.

Sharnick spent his first three seasons coaching as a hitting, catching and outfield coach, working with hitters on developing elite hitting mechanics through video analysis as well as utilizing his background in psychology to influence positive mindset and approach. 

Sharnick is a data analyst by trade and has recently received a certificate from Cornell University for a specialty in Data Science and is eager to put this certification to work as he steps into a new role as director of scouting and analytics for the Blue Jays. In this role, he will be primarily focused on putting together scouting reports for both the Blue Jays players as well as opponents 

In his free time, Jeff has created a scouting application as well as owns and operates Yak Factory, a baseball information brand looking to launch in 2026.
