Top-Ranked Men's Basketball Edges Lasell Thursday, 73-66

NEWTON, Mass. - The nationally-ranked No. 1 University of Saint Joseph (USJ) men's basketball team trailed by as many as 10 points on the road in the second half, but stormed back to defeat the Lasell University Lasers, 73-66, in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) South Division contest Thursday night inside the Athletic Center in Newton, Mass. With the victory, the Blue Jays remain the lone undefeated team left in NCAA Division III men's hoops and improve to 19-0 overall and 12-0 in GNAC play. The victory also locks up a GNAC Postseason Tournament berth for the Blue Jays, which they have done in every season in program history. The Lasers dip to 7-10 overall and 4-6 in the league with the setback.
