Three Blue Jays Land on Men's Lacrosse All-GNAC Teams

WINTHROP, Mass. – Graduate student midfielder Aidan D'Amato (Tolland, Conn.) of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) men's lacrosse team headlined a flock of three Blue Jays named to the All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Teams, it was announced Monday by the league's front office. D'Amato received All-GNAC First Team distinction and was joined by graduate student defenseman CJ Denson (West Hartford, Conn.) and graduate student goalkeeper Trey McCann (Simsbury, Conn.), who were both named to the All-GNAC Second Team. Senior Nicholas Pulcini (Berlin, Conn.) rounded out the honorees, receiving All-Sportsmanship Team honors for the Blue Jays. Voting is conducted by the league's 13 head men's lacrosse coaches and did not take postseason play into account.

OFFICIAL GNAC RELEASE

D'Amato, who transferred to the Blue Jays from Allegheny College prior to the 2025 season, paced the USJ offense with a team-high 57 points off a team-best 42 goals and 15 assists. The graduate student finished the year seventh in the conference in goals scored and ninth in total points. The First Team nod is the third All-Conference recognition in D'Amato's career, as he was named to the President's Athletic Conference (PAC) All-First Team twice during his time with the Gators. The distinction also marks the second time in program history that a Blue Jay was named to the All-GNAC First Team.

Denson anchored the USJ defensive unit, starting in 13 of the 14 games he appeared in during the 2025 season. The West Hartford native caused 14 turnovers, while corralling 28 ground balls on the year. The second-team nod is the first All-Conference distinction in his career.

McCann was a force in the cage for the Blue Jays, earning a spot on the All-GNAC Second Team after finishing second in the conference in total saves (179), fourth in goals against average (9.95) and fifth in save percentage (54.2%). The honor is the second All-Conference recognition in his career.
