Pestrichello Named GNAC Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week
WINTHROP, Mass. – Senior attack Nick Pestrichello (Newington, Conn.) of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) men's lacrosse team has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon in its seventh weekly report of the 2026 season.
The honor marks the first time in program history that a Blue Jay has earned GNAC Player of the Week recognition. It is also the first weekly award of the season and of Pestrichello's career, as well as the fifth conference weekly honor earned by the USJ men's lacrosse team this season.
Pestrichello paced the USJ offense during a perfect 2–0 week, totaling 14 points on 11 goals and three assists. The senior attack opened the week by scoring six goals in the Blue Jays' 13–5 victory over Lasell. He capped off the week with an eight-point performance, registering five goals and three assists in USJ's 19–7 road win at Regis.
On the season, Pestrichello ranks fourth in the GNAC in both points (40) and goals (32), while sitting third in man-up goals (5).
UP NEXT
The Blue Jays return home on Saturday, April 4, to face Colby-Sawyer College in GNAC action. Opening faceoff against the Chargers at the USJ Lacrosse Field is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
