Pennell Tabbed GNAC Men's Diver of the Week for Second Straight Week
WINTHROP, Mass. – Freshman Henry Pennell (Bellows Falls, Vt.) of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) men's swimming and diving team was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Diver of the Week for the second straight week, as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon in its tenth weekly report of the 2025-26 season. The honor marks Pennell's fourth weekly conference accolade of the year and the ninth overall for the Blue Jays this season.
Pennell continued his strong rookie campaign on the diving board for the Blue Jays, opening USJ's dual meet this past Saturday (1/17) versus Eastern Connecticut with a score of 137.25 in the one-meter five-dive event. He followed that performance by breaking both the school's freshman and varsity program records in the one-meter dive, finishing with an impressive score of 190.30 in the six-dive event.

The Blue Jays round out the 2025-26 regular season on the road at Gordon College on Saturday, January 24. The dual meet against the Fighting Scots inside the Bennett Center Natatorium in Wenham, Mass., is set for 1:00 p.m.
