Dowling-Logue, Jara Named to CNE Academic All-Conference Team
BEVERLY, Mass. – Sophomores Patrick Dowling-Logue (West Hartford, Conn.) and Adam Jara (Wethersfield, Conn.) of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) men's tennis team earned Conference of New England (CNE) Spring Academic All-Conference Team recognition, the conference office announced Tuesday.
In January and June of each academic year, the Conference recognizes an Academic All-Conference Team. Each member institution is responsible for determining its qualified student-athletes. Criteria for recognition include: at least sophomore status both athletically and academically, with one academic year in residence at their current institution; a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher on a 4.0 scale; and active membership on a roster for a Conference-sponsored sport. Graduate transfers, regardless of enrollment length at their current institution, are eligible. First-year students, freshmen, and undergraduate transfers in their first semester at their current institution are not eligible.
The January recognition covers men's and women's soccer, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's tennis, women's volleyball, field hockey, men's and women's golf, and football. The June recognition includes men's and women's basketball, men's and women's ice hockey, baseball, men's and women's lacrosse, softball, men's tennis, and men's and women's track and field student-athletes.

In all, 1,243 student-athletes earned honors across 11 core institutions and two associate members. Leading the pack with 155 student-athletes was Endicott College, with the University of Hartford ranking second with 143 student-athletes. Nichols College placed third with 125 student-athletes receiving honors. The top two sports for honorees were Women's Track & Field (159) and Baseball (158), with Men's Lacrosse (140) close behind in third.
