Yorke Earns Spot on Women’s Basketball All-GNAC Third Team

WINTHROP, Mass. – Sophomore guard Nevaeh Yorke (Norwich, Conn.) of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) women's basketball team was named to the All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Third Team it was announced by the league's front office Tuesday afternoon during its unveiling of the year-end awards. In addition, sophomore guard Ella Kulas (Cheshire, Conn.) was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team. The end of year awards are voted on by the league's 13 head coaches.

Yorke enjoyed a stellar sophomore season, posting a career-high 9.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 2.9 steals per game. The sophomore guard started all 25 of the team's games, playing 30.0 minutes per contest. The Norwich, Conn., native led the GNAC in total assists (111), while finishing fourth in total steals (72) and eighth in total rebounds (207).
