Stringer Tabbed GNAC Women's Lacrosse Goalkeeper of the Week

WINTHROP, Mass. – Senior Colleen Stringer (Point Lookout, N.Y.) of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) women's lacrosse team has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Goalkeeper of the Week, as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon in its third weekly report of the 2026 season. The honor marks Stringer's sixth career GNAC Goalkeeper of the Week award and is the first weekly conference recognition for the USJ women's lacrosse team this season.

Stringer came off the bench and played the final 52:32, making nine saves against eight goals allowed for a 52.9% save percentage and a 9.14 goals‑against average, earning the win as the Blue Jays secured their first victory of the 2026 season—a 14–11 non‑conference road win at FDU‑Florham on Wednesday—in their lone game of the week.
 
On the season, Stringer currently ranks second in the GNAC in total saves (26) and third in save percentage (51.0%) through three games.

UP NEXT

Stringer and the women's lacrosse team return to action on Wednesday, March 11, with an intrastate non‑conference road contest at Eastern Connecticut State University. Opening draw between the Blue Jays and Warriors is set for 4 p.m. at Rick McCarthy Field in Mansfield, Conn.
