Krusewski Named GNAC Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week
WINTHROP, Mass. – Freshman Kailey Krusewski (Newington, Conn.) of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) women's lacrosse team has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week, as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon in its seventh weekly report of the 2026 season. The honor marks Krusewski's second career GNAC Rookie of the Week award and the third weekly conference recognition for the USJ women's lacrosse team this season.
Krusewski helped power the Blue Jays to a perfect 3–0 GNAC week, totaling 15 points on 14 goals and one assist. She opened the week with seven goals in a 14–9 road victory at Simmons University on Tuesday (3/31), before finding the back of the net three times in a key 10–9 home win over New England College on Thursday night (4/2).
The Newington native capped off the week with a five-point performance on Senior Day, scoring four goals and adding her first career assist as the Blue Jays handled Elms College at home on Saturday (4/4).
For the week, Krusewski placed 22 of her 25 shots on goal for an 88.0% shot-on-goal rate and converted on 14 attempts for a 56.0% shooting percentage. The rookie currently ranks third among GNAC players in goals this season with 43.
UP NEXT
Krusewski and the Blue Jays return to action on Wednesday, April 8, with a GNAC road contest at Mitchell College. Opening draw between the Blue Jays and Mariners is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. at Alumni Field in New London, Conn.
