Jays Tennis Wins

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- The Saint Joseph College tennis team defeated MCLA Tuesday in a non-conference match, 7-2. 

The Blue Jays won four of six singles matches and swept three doubles contests. 

Meghan Toth (Naugatuck, Conn.), Lisa Wawrzynowski (Newington, Conn.) and Emely Chenard (Meriden, Conn.) all brought home straight-set singles wins for Saint Joseph. April Loteczka (Ellington, Conn.) rallied from a one-set deficit to win a dramatic three-setter, 3-6, 6-3, 7-5. 

Toth and Kameshia Cooper paired to win at No. 1 doubles, Wawryznowski and Chenard earned a win at No. 2 and Julie Ann Robinson and Delina Andrews also won for Saint Joseph. 

The Blue Jays improved to 2-6 on the season; MCLA is 0-5.

Saint Joseph hosts WNEC Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
