Bio
AS A COACH
Basile joins the Blue Jays after spending the previous two seasons as an assistant coach at AIC, where he helped guide the Yellow Jackets to a 39-14 overall record. In his first season with the program, AIC captured the Northeast-10 Conference championship and advanced to the NCAA Division II East Region Finals. The Yellow Jackets returned to the NCAA Tournament in 2025, making a second consecutive postseason appearance.
During his tenure at AIC, Basile coached several standout student-athletes, including Victoria Mendez, who earned NE10 Player of the Year, East Region Player of the Year and American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-America Honorable Mention honors in 2024. He also coached Aleksandra Lucic, the 2024 East Region Rookie of the Year.
In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Basile served as an assistant coach at Agawam High School in Agawam, Mass., and coached with the Pioneer Valley Juniors Volleyball Club.
AS A STUDENT-ATHLETE
A 2021 graduate of Saint Francis College, Basile was a two-year member of the men's volleyball program and a member of the program's inaugural 2020 squad. He served as team captain during both seasons and earned Northeast Conference Honor Roll recognition.
Prior to Saint Francis, Basile spent two seasons as a member of the men's volleyball and men's tennis teams at Sage College. As an outside hitter, he appeared in 157 sets, recording 182 kills and 190 digs.
Basile earned his bachelor's degree in exercise and movement science from Saint Francis College in 2021.
