Ofori Named GNAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week
WINTHROP, Mass. - Senior forward Emmanuel Ofori (East Hartford, Conn.) of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) men's soccer team has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon in its fifth weekly report of the 2025 season. This marks Ofori's fifth career GNAC weekly honor and the first weekly award for the USJ men's soccer team this season.
Ofori had a standout week, totaling five points on two goals and one assist during a 1-0-1 stretch for the Blue Jays.
He started his week by recording a brace during a 7-0 thrashing of intrastate foe Mitchell College during GNAC play (Sep. 23). The senior forward then rounded out his week by providing the assist on USJ's game-tying goal in a 1-1 draw with Emmanuel College (Sep. 27).
This season, Ofori paces the USJ offense with a team-high 13 points off a team-best five goals and three assists.
