Women's Basketball Suffers Home Setback to Albertus Magnus Tuesday Night

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. — The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) women's basketball team suffered a setback at home Tuesday night, falling to intrastate and Great Northeast athletic Conference (GNAC) rival Albertus Magnus College (Albertus), 70-56, inside the James A. The Falcons stifled the Blue Jays the rest of the quarter, closing on a 13–1 run to take a 20–8 lead into the second quarter. The Falcons responded with a 9–4 run to push the lead back to 14, 54–40, with 1:15 on the clock. Sophomore guard Ella Kulas (Cheshire, Conn.) sank a late free throw to end the quarter, cutting the deficit to 58–43 entering the fourth.
