WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – Freshman goalkeeper Madison Corcoran (Bristol, Conn.) made a career-high 11 saves, but the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) women's soccer team was stopped at home by the visiting Johnson & Wales University (JWU) Wildcats, 4-0, in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) fixture Wednesday night at the USJ Soccer Field in West Hartford, Conn. With the result, the Blue Jays dip to 6-4-1 overall on the 2023 season and 6-2-1 in GNAC play, while the Wildcats improve to 9-1-3 overall and remain perfect in conference play at 9-0-0.

Women's soccer will look to bounce back when it plays next on Saturday, October 7 in a GNAC road contest at Elms College. Kickoff between the Blue Jays and Blazers is set for 1:00 p.m. at Timothy J. Leary Field in Chicopee, Mass.
