WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - With increased concern regarding the spread of the COVID-19 Omicron variant, the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) Department of Athletics has announced changes to its spectator policy for USJ athletic events held inside the O'Connell Center. The following revised spectator policy is in effect immediately and will be enforced starting with the men's and women's basketball doubleheader scheduled for Saturday, January 8, 2022.
REVISED SPECTATOR POLICY
As of January 6, 2022, capacity for USJ athletic events held inside the O'Connell Center will be limited and ticket sales for all USJ basketball games have been put on pause. Spectators will be limited to season ticket holders, patrons who have already pre-purchased/reserved tickets, and patrons who are listed on the USJ and visiting team will call list. No additional tickets or walk-up tickets will be avaliable for sale or to be reserved at this time.
Additionally, all ticketed spectators 12 years of age and older must also show proof of vaccination along with photo ID and remain masked at all times to gain entry. Spectators under the age of two (2) should attend at the guardian's discretion. Anyone experiencing COVID-like symptoms should not attend.
USJ apologizes for any inconvenience in regard to its spectator policy change and will continue to monitor and review its policy on a regular basis with the hope that conditions will allow to return to selling tickets and increase capacity in the near future. If a patron has already purchased a ticket for a future event and would like a refund, please email Assistant Athletic Director Josh Ingham at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the USJ Ticket Office at 860-231-5296 prior to the scheduled contest.
All games will be streamed live and are avaliable to watch through USJ's StretchLive portal by visiting https://portal.stretchinternet.com/usj.
